They become so close it is almost as stressful as a real family member. In the mean time let your friends lend you comfort, and try to be happy for all the great times and memories.

We do not want an animal that we hold dear in our hearts to suffer and yet we hate to say goodbye. A dog that has been a faithful companion for many years has such a special place. I pray for you and her.
