Thursday, June 29, 2006, 7:54:21 PM- New Puppy
Today has definitely started off different. I was heading down our long driveway, on my way to go salmon fishing 4:30am. I get to the end of the driveway and here lays next to the trash can is this black thing. As I slowly rolled closer, this black thing, became this cute black lab. As the hamster wheels try to start turning at this early hour, contemplating what my eyes are telling me. I get out of the truck and call him. He comes running over like he just found his long lost mommy. Very cute indeed. Of course my heart melted. I took him back to the house, put him in a back bedroom with a dish of food and water. It took no time for him to inhale said food. I just got back from the vet, he has no chip. So he's ours for the time being.

Wednesday, June 21, 2006, 11:07:44 PM- Never trust a fly
A true story about a fly, a fish, a bear, a hunter, a mouse
and a cat There is a moral to this story, but not exactly
the one most of us are expecting!

In the dead of summer a fly was resting on a leaf beside a lake.

The hot, dry fly who said to no one in particular, "Gosh...if I
go down three inches I will feel the mist from the water and I
will be refreshed."

There was a fish in the water thinking, "Gosh...if that fly goes
down three inches, I can eat him."

There was a bear on the shore thinking, "Gosh...if that fly goes
down three inches that fish will jump for the fly...and I will grab him!"

It also happened that a hunter was farther up the bank of the lake preparing to eat a cheese sandwich....

"Gosh," he thought, "if that fly goes down three inches...and that fish leaps for it...that bear will expose himself and grab for the fish. I'll shoot the bear and have a proper lunch."

Now, you probably think this is enough activity on one bank of a
lake, but I can tell you there's more....

A wee mouse by the hunter's foot was thinking, "Gosh if that fly
goes down three inches...and that fish jumps for that fly... and
that bear grabs for that fish...the dumb hunter will shoot the bear and drop his cheese sandwich."

A cat lurking in the bushes took in this scene and thought, (as
was fashionable to do on the banks of this particular lake around lunch time)'

"Gosh...if that fly goes down three inches...and that fish jumps
for that fly . and that bear grabs for that fish and that hunter
shoots that bear...and that mouse makes off with the cheese
sandwich .... then I can have mouse for lunch."

The poor fly is finally so hot and so dry that he heads down for
the cooling mist of the water.

The fish swallows the fly... The bear grabs the fish... The hunter shoots the bear.. The mouse grabs the cheese sandwich... The cat jumps for the mouse.. The mouse ducks...The cat falls into the water and drowns.

The moral of the story is:

Whenever a fly goes down three inches, some pussy is in serious
danger.

Monday, June 19, 2006, 12:30:19 AM- Single for Life
Ya it's true, that's probably what will happen. Nick will also more than like me join me in that club as well. There just comes a time when you come to the realization to the fact that you'll probably never find a significant other. Anyway here's a list of reasons I came up one day.

The friends curse. Ya you know what I mean. You get to know someone but then that's all that they will ever want to be. 'Just Friends' Normally for me it just revolves around that they just like to me to much or they don't want to hurt me. After that I never hear from them again.

Seek long conversations about nothing else where. Yes, the hallmark of a solid relationship, yaking on the phone for endless hours and talking about absolutely nothing. Sorry I can't do it. My brain just isn't wired to talk like that. If you want to chat about hunting or fishing, I have endless stories. Other than that I'm hopeless.

Disinterest of going out. Yep total and utter lack of intrust in going out other than to the river or woods. Sure I'll get dragged hear and there by Nick and Sarah, but for me to do it on my own, HA fat chance.

Yep I'm a hunter. That means I kill poor defenseless fury creatures. Especially the tasty kind. Not that I have anything against non-hunters or vegan's but they probably wouldn't like my room too much.

Lack of trust. After what's happened the past couple of years I absolutely don't trust girls at all. Unless your Sarah or Ericka chances are you'll have to goto great lengths to gain my trust. I suspect everything girls tell me is a lie anymore.

Just not interesting I guess. Yeah I live a pretty dull and boring life. I just can't get hyper anymore. Sure I get excited about some things, like my new boat, but I can't remember the last time I was truly hyper. Maybe a sugar hi when I was 4?

Dating? You know it's been close to 3 years since I last asking someone out in person. Sad... (Not counting the Internet, it's a bit different that meeting someone on the street)

That's enough for now I guess. I know it's not the most coherent thing I've written, but oh well. I need to get to work.

Things to remember:
If out fishing all day, be sure to remember the sub block.
Use the sun block if you do remember.
Everywhere

There enlise my mistake. I used it on my arms, but alas not my face. I'm Mr. Raccoon now. My cheeks are very red, so are my ears. I'm suprise they haven't fallen off yet.

Wednesday, June 7, 2006, 5:45:35 AM- Boat Update
Well today started out rough. I went over to the main branch at US Bank to see if they can get my loan over ridden. Well, they can't/wont. I have to work with my original loan officer, who doesn't even start till noon when I have to be at work. I get out of there and head to a local credit Union. When I had originally decided to do a long, I filled out a loan form for this place, but never followed through, instead opting to work with my bank. Anway, turn that in, do the shit and by the time I got home, 30 minutes, I was approved.

So all is right with the world. As soon as I can stop my automatic deposit from work to US Bank I will promptly leave them for this credit union. I should have my new boat tomorrow. grin

Tuesday, June 6, 2006, 2:29:09 AM- Damn banks...
Well, today was supose to be the glorious day that I pick up the boat. Unfortunately the gods had other ideas. I had been pre-Approved for the boat loan months before hand too. As it turns out US Bank got cold feet. After waiting 5 hours in Central Point I got the word that they turned me down. Not because I don't have the money, I do, not because of my credit score, but because they don't do loans for drift boats.

To say I was dissapointed is an understatment. To say I'm mad, is to and understatment. So here I am waiting some more. The loan officer said he'll try and get a waiver through a higher up. But I'm not holding my breath at this moment.

Now I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. I'm hoping all will be good tomorrow, but I doubt it. So I'll begin my search anew for a loan. Anyone with suggestions speak up. I just hope that who ever is fucking me up the ass will have enough by tomorrow and I'll get out of this bad episode of the twilight zone.

Steve
