He seems to think I m his bestie especially if we re going for a ride!

Fall is on its way with the first frost this morning, arrgh! Thank goodness for copious amouts of old sheets to cover some of the veg garden, and a heated seat in my vehicle - even if it does have a tempramental switch with a tendancy to jam in the on position giving my arse a roasting as I go down the road!
However it is supposed to be hitting the mid 20s today so we ll be back at it hauling home bales - only another 300 and something to go!

Story of my life! Without fail every morning any plans I have go down the shitter by 9am! Today is no different! Head out bright and early to do my off farm job,get home for breakfast and ready to start on the ' to do list' of hauling home more bales but it rained overnight so that jobs on hold for now, so ok I ll be a good wife and catch up on some neglected housework and laundry,but no hubby decides the garden needs picking so now I'm going to be tits deep making pickles, relish and bagging and freezing anythingelse he throws at me! Wish me luck!

It was time to head back to my part time off farm job this past week and get back into a routine and figure out which day of the week it is! On the farm the summer days roll together and the weeks just melt into one another, it seems like a race against time to get everything done! Cows are out at pasture so that makes life easier, sheep are happy to spend their days figuring out how to escape or failing that working out the best way to die! So that means time to make hay while the sunshines which has been pretty easy as we ve had a drought this summer,but its also affect the amount of crop. Now everything is baled up it s time to start hauling it all home which is a job in itself- especially when you look back and oh shit ,you find the large 50 ft trailer you're supposed to be pulling is at the bottom of the yard and the hitch has fallen off your tractor! Fortunately it did nt happen while I was 10 miles from home and it was a quick fix to bolt it back on! Oh well there s never a dull moment around here!
