Saturday, June 1, 2019, 9:55:58 PM- They call it Mandarin Lights
We planted a small azalea bush a few weeks ago and some nice orange flowers are coming out now.

Here's the little feller, he's about sixteen inches high. Might be a six-footer some day.

Uh-oh...I might do like five or six years ago and post a bunch of pics of flowers coming out in the yard this spring and summer, and bore y'all straight to sleep. What can I say, Daisy and I both love flowers. But I'm the one who actually takes care of them! Relaxes me.

Lilacs are out now too, and only for a few days.

Sunday, May 19, 2019, 8:09:13 PM- They are a wonderful presence.
Managed to get this shot in front of home mere minutes ago. This is a hummingbird, the smallest bird in the world. They have migrated back to Canada from Mexico or South America, once again. How they do it, I've no idea. But they inspire me. Two are hanging around the feeder today. It's a gloomy afternoon, and my camera can only do so much. But I love the mood of this shot, and the silhouette that my delicate and elegant avian friend is cutting, as if it knew...

Saturday, May 18, 2019, 3:51:46 PM- Working in the fresh air this morning...
A thermos cup with piping hot coffee following me around. Setting up some flowers and fine herbs outside. Some perennials are popping up too. So good to see. Anything related to working or being close to the earth relaxes the heck out of me. Can't wait for it to be warm enough to walk barefoot on the ground and fully feel that connection.

Walking up to the woods I was struck by the greenery, by the glory of spring.

Here is a simple pic of some fiddle heads unfolding on ferns.

"It is the inevitable 'nature will always take over' in a way or another. The deeper level of connection, often is fractions of seconds. An euphoria, a bliss that needs to be caught as it happens to be valued."
